Flowing water encounters no obstacles
How often do we feel stuck? Our bodies can stiffen, and our minds and emotions can bog us down. We can find ourselves in a rut, and we can chalk it up to getting old....
NONSENSE! Yes, you read that right...
For as long as humans have been getting stuck, we have also been sharing ways to get back into that juicy flow! You know: a sparkle in the eye, a spring in the step and energy to spare. Everything and everyone around us is happier too.
One of the best ways to keep the flow going like an ocean of bliss, is to spend time every day doing something that lights you up. Feed your joy every day, and it will grow and glow. Not only will you feel better, but those around you will benefit too. Joy is contagious!
So.....take a moment to think about what makes you smile, laugh and feel ALIVE. And do some every day. Schedule it in, like you schedule in any appointment. You will be delighted at how much difference even 5-15 minutes a day can make. Come on, even the busiest among us can find a few minutes.....Put on your favourite music and dance like no one's looking. Call your bestie and have a heart-to-heart. Write in your journal. Take a candlelight bath with essential oils. Buy yourself a bouquet of flowers. Sip a delicious herbal tea and put your feet up. Cuddle with another sentient being, two-legged or four. Of course, there is CHOCOLATE! Or ___________ (fill in the blank with your personal delight). You get the idea....now go for it!
Yoga and QiGong are two paths that light up my life. I know they always clear any emotional and physical debris that is piling up, and they free up the channels for life to flow through again. My outlook brightens, my energy reserves rise, and so much healing comes. If either of these paths speaks to you, or you are curious, please read on to find out about some classes and workshops that are coming up. I will be starting up my qigong and yoga classes this week, and the beautiful and inspiring Daisy Lee is coming to Toronto in February to lead classes and a Radiant Lotus Women's QiGong training.
