Beloved Reader!
This month's newsletter includes my regular schedule, plus a new weekly restorative yoga class, and a special workshop... all to delight you, and to share tips and technologies with you about how to build and nourish your inner resources. I am also available for private lessons, healing sessions and Tarot readings.
I've been thinking a lot about something that strikes me in my own personal life, and comes up in my practice as a Yoga Therapist. It can be very challenging to make positive changes in our lives, and to let go of the things that no longer serve our highest good. When heavy thoughts, emotions, habits and physical pain have been ingrained for years or decades, we tend to define ourselves by them. That's what we know. It can be hard to imagine any other life, especially one of freedom and lightness. It can be hard to remember that there could be something inside us that remains eternally free and untouched by the ups and downs of human living.
In QiGong, there is a saying: "Yi Dao, Qi Dao". It means this: "Where the mind goes, energy follows". Whatever we feed with our thoughts and our attention becomes larger. If we focus on our suffering, it gets bigger and it gets stronger.
In healing, it is said that if joy and light multiply enough, they can eventually displace any heaviness that we feel. Let's feed what makes us shine, and see what happens if we let go.... and keep on practising letting go... The more we practise something, the better we get at it. Why not give it a try!
Below, I share a "medicine poem" to inspire you on this noble journey. Sometimes art can heal more effectively than intellect can. I offer this with respect and love, with the heartfelt desire that all of our souls may grow wings.
Sending Blessings and Radiant Love to You. May we be free, and may we inspire others by our example!
