Greetings dear Shimmering Friend! In Tarot,
The Chariot is a card that means MOVEMENT! Here, our winged goddess enlists some high energy horsepower to reach her goal. Sword aloft, she cuts through cloud and fog with laser-like clarity. Her vision and action are perfectly matched, like her steeds, and we know her success is guaranteed. Nothing will divert her from her path.
In Yoga Nidra, we tap into our own deepest inner resources and revision ourselves so that we can shine brighter in this world. These inner resources rest in a pure and serene place within us, a place that is unmoved by the vicissitudes of life. This divine peace is sweeter than sleep, dreams or meditation! it is the home of our soul.
What is Yoga Nidra? By simply resting in a supine position, and listening to the voice, we take a journey through our bodies, breathing practices, sensations and vivid scenes. Our bodies rest, yet our awareness is awake; it keeps moving and flowing forward. We plant an affirmation at the beginning and the end of the practice, when it can make an impression on our unconscious mind. This process untangles our habituated belief patterns and makes space for more Love and Light. Many people report better sleep, productivity and creativity. Healing happens.
These days I am especially moved by Yoga Nidra practice, both following and leading. Holding a more radiant image of myself inspires me and lifts me up. When I lead a practice, I find that I enter into a meditative state that pours out through my voice. The vibration of words and sound is very powerful when it is harnessed to pure intention. Leading or following, I feel lighter and clearer....as though little chunks of old habits are crumbling away to reveal something calmer and more beautiful. And that something gets stronger and brighter over time. Please drop in for a session and see for yourself!
Yoga Nidra classes continue by popular demand on Thursday evenings throughout March. Hatha Yoga and women's qigong classes can also help us tune into the soul field. They remind us of the deep, clear and peaceful place inside us all, where we feel most like our authentic selves. It's a good place to live from. As we align ourselves with this inner self, it becomes easier to commit with love and strength to our heart's desire and ride our own chariot into our brightest future.
